Updated City Closure Related to COVID
In the recent days, the City of Forest Park has been informed that two employees have tested positive for COVID-19. In addition, one employee has been around a relative that has also tested positive. While we remain optimistic for their successful recoveries, this information, in addition to the increase in positive COVID-19 cases across the state and the nation, Mayor Butler and the governing body made the decision that until further notice Forest Park City Hall and all City buildings will be closed. However, during this time, staff will continue to provide services and will be available via email and if applicable via appointment. All City parks will remain open and will continue to be sanitized throughout the day. Municipal Court will no longer hold in person court hearings. Court will be held virtually via Zoom. Defendants will be contacted by phone and/or mail. As we continue to review best practices for moving forward, we are asking the public for your continued patience as we navigate and adjust to these uncertain times. But most importantly, please do your part and follow the guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Department of Public Health (DPH). Thank you in advance
