Councilwoman Kimberly James July Forest Park Ward Meeting

July 2023 Monthly Ward Meeting begins with Council Woman James welcome.  It is followed by reports from Public Works and current work on Grass, Pot Holes & Sanitation.  Planning & Community Development shared information on code violations which include overgrown grass, trash & Litter and business license violations.  The Economic Development Department share about upcoming meetings of the Development Authority, the Downtown Development Authority, and the Urban Redevelopment Authority as well as site visits to our local businesses.  Recreation & Leisure share upcoming activities, the Fire Department gives update about upcoming Girls Fire Camp, the Police Department share crime stats, information on citizen police academy & speed cameras.  Our Human Resources Department gives information on Public works job fair as well as open positions.  Our City Manager share the importance of Communication and what the city is doing.  School Board Member Victoria Willimas share school opening and give away information.  Finally, Mayor Butler share the redistricting and the focus on wards 3, 4 &5.
