Crystal Kelly Proclamation

PROCLAMATION

On January 22, 2022, ​a Proclamation was presented by the Honorable Mayor Angelyne Butler, MPA, and Forest Park City Council recognizing Crystal Kelly
 

WHEREAS: Crystal Kelly has been involved in volunteer community upbuilding projects all throughout her life.  While attending Norfolk State University, she was a representative of American Red Cross and campaigned for the Sickle Cell awareness;

WHEREAS:  In addition to these events, she created and directed the ‘Face-2-Face” mentoring group for junior and high school seniors in Norfolk, VA.  Crystal is very passionate about impacting people by educating them and letting them know that their current situation does not define their final destination;

WHEREAS: Crystal Kelly created a platform by starting, Power of Your “Purse” – Straight Talk for Women to empower, motivate, educate, inspire, and congratulate women through open and honest communication and;

WHEREAS: Crystal Kelly has recently brought her passion to Atlanta, GA to recognize the women of the “I am Beautiful” Survivor Awards that have been impacted by mental and physical abuse.

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Forest Park proudly recognizes Crystal Kelly for her dedication and commitment as a stellar community activist and inspirational role model.
