Forest Park Police Citizens Academy Flyer

The Citizens Police Academy was started in 1994 by the Forest Park Police Department and the first class graduated that year. The purpose of the academy is to educate the citizens of Forest Park as to what training members of the police department have to go through in order to become certified officers. Since the inception of the Citizens Police Academy, we have graduated twenty eight classes. The success of this program is attributed to the many officers who donate their time and skills as instructors and recruiters for the academy.

Topics Covered Include:

  • Purpose and Mission of Department
  • Communications and 911 System
  • Training and Education of Officers
  • Criminal and Crime Scene Investigations
